Great place for lunch!. There’s not many places to eat in the industrial area so I can see how this spot is a regular to many. I’ve been to Big Rock once before quite a long time ago. I found that this time around it had been renovated. They have all the different flavours of Big Rock beer on tap. The staff was friendly and the service was great. I tried the smoked salmon on a pretzel bun. Soo good!
Props to the new owners! Even if you’re not in the area, a must try if you’re a Calgary native!

Goulash Soup & Schnitzel Burger. I went on a business lunch meeting to the newly renovated Big Rock Grill and WOW what a place, the new owners Chef Harry & Markus have turned this place around.
The food was 5 star flavors, I started with the Austrian Goulash Soup – diced beef simmered with onions, paprika & red peppers. Then I had the Schnitzel burger with thin sliced breaded pork tenderloin, aioli on a excellent pretzel bun.
The new beers are great, the atmosphere is clean and inviting and speed of our lunch was excellent!!
Great Job we will be back with our office for an event soon.

Awesome Lunch. Impromptu lunch at the last minute with my wife who had never been before. I had the schnitzel and she had the bratwurst. ….shared some of each and it was awesomeness.

Best place for lunch
Besides the great beer, the best thing about the brewery is the Big Rock Grill! This restaurant gem is open only Monday to Friday, 11:30 – 2 pm. In the summer, the patio is one of the best in Calgary. Food is great so reservations are a must as this is a very popular spot for the locals who know about it. If you are touring the brewery on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday (60 minutes, must be 18) book lunch before the tour. Tours are not drop-in, you must pre-register.

Most people know about Big Rock Beer but they don’t know there is an awsome little restaurant right at the brewery. The chef puts in so much effort making the daily specials and won’t settle for anything but incredible tasting food. The staff is awsome, always happy and friendly. If you get the chance to take a tour and go for lunch you will be very happy you did. They put a lot of thought into the tours and insure everyone has a great time. This is truly a great place see and have lunch, Calgarians are very proud of The Big Rock Brewery. The beer has become a world wide top seller and the company is just a stellar. We LOVE Big Rock! Go have a fun day tasting Calgary’s finest, enjoy yourself with a great host and finish off with an Amazing lunch.

Great Food and Great Service
I went to Big Rock Grill for lunch today with some co-workers and was wowed with the quality of food. I ordered the buffalo burger with sweet potato fries and it was delicious! One of my co-workers ordered the greek salad and she said it was so fresh! The other had the smoked salmon and said it was the best she’s ever had! Our awesome server also informed us that they will be doing a huge renovation soon which I think it is definitely time for. Lol! Overall i had a great luch here and would highly recommend The Big Rock Grill.

Absolute Perfection
I wouldn`t normally post a review for a Restaurant ist really amazing. The Food was beyond incredible, I actually tasted new flavours. You can tell this Chef is in it for the love of what he does. Our Server was fantastic.

It Rocks. Had some of the world famous Turducken and a french tourtiere pie with Big Rock’s Life of Chai beer. It was great! I met the head chef and manager as well. I believe they took over the place in 2013. They were very accommodating and warm. Great service all around!

Quick Lunch Salmon Snack. We were in the area and not being used to eating outside of downtown or at home decided to give our stomachs a break from waiting and just pop in. We only wanted a light snack and got the chef’s special; fresh smoked salmon on cream cheese and bread, it was perfection. I’m a picky eater up this hit the spot it was just like I would normally make it at home only much better quality!
We’d ended up ordering some of the Big Rock chai beer and actually had a really nice time! Their food and beer is top notch and the service was super friendly. Now i’m actually thinking about when I wan to go back!!

Buffalo Burger is a Fav. Big Rock Grill is a recurring lunch option for me. Their buffalo burger is delish, especially with a tasty beer on the side.
Ultimately one of my favourite lunches, love these guys!

PERFECT!!. Booked this restaurant for our anniversary, it was great in every detail. Food was fantastic as was the service and the atmosphere. Our waiter was attentive and funny but ‘not in your face’. Will recommend to others and will try again. Chef prepared a special anniversary dessert plate which was so thoughtful

Excellent place for lunch, food is always very good. Can be crowded and noisy, conversation can be impacted by your proximity to guests.

Been awhile since I had an awesome lunch out! and service! I plan to try everything on that menu, have not been disappointed yet! I definitely recommend the smoked salmon salad.

Awesome Stop for Lunch
We found the restaurant had been newly renovated. It looks much nicer than before. I had smoked salmon and tried a pretzel as well. The salmon was fresh and had just the right amount of smokiness. They also have all the different flavours of Big Rock beer on tap. The staff are friendly and the service is great. Definitely a must try kindof place!

We are from Germany but I had no idea that the Big Rock Brewery in Calgary had such a top quality restaurant. Superb service, superb location, superb food. What more can one say?
